How Reiki and Sound Healing Work Together
Long before I became a Reiki practitioner, I discovered sound baths.
At the time, I didn't have the language for what I was experiencing. I only knew that something happened when I lay down, closed my eyes, and allowed myself to simply listen.
The vibrations seemed to quiet the constant activity of my mind and draw my attention somewhere I hadn't spent much time before—into my body.
It became one of the few places where I could truly relax.
Over time, I found that sound wasn't just helping me rest. It was opening a different kind of awareness. Beneath the thoughts, the planning, and the doing, there was another way of listening to myself—one that felt quieter, more intuitive, and deeply connected.
Years later, when I discovered Reiki, I recognised that same quality.
Although they work in different ways, both practices invite us out of constant thinking and into a place where the body can soften, the nervous system can settle, and we become more present with ourselves.
That's one of the reasons I'm so passionate about bringing them together.
During a Reiki and Sound Healing workshop, the sound creates an immersive landscape that helps many people let go of the outside world, while Reiki offers gentle energetic support throughout the experience. Together, they create space to simply receive—to rest, reconnect, and allow whatever needs to unfold.
This September, I'm delighted to be collaborating with Kira at Yoga Flat in Copenhagen. We'll combine gentle Yin yoga, a restorative sound journey, and Reiki to create an afternoon dedicated to deep rest and reconnection.
Whether you've experienced Reiki or sound healing before, or you're simply curious, we'd love to welcome you.
